kmAndras is the electronic music project of András Kovács M., a Budapest-based screenwriter and composer.
Inspired by the spirit of the ’70s and ’80s, the project delivers retro-futuristic cinematic electronic music, often taking the form of concept albums and imaginary soundtracks. Recent releases include Tales from Deep Space, inspired by the optimism of vintage space documentaries, the alien landscapes and solitary journey of The Betelgeuse Expedition, and the darker, more personal time-bending story of The Keeper of Hours.
The latest album, Dome Under the Red Skies, imagines everyday life in an established human colony on Mars, moving through progressive rock, hazy psychedelic downtempo, IDM and spacey synthwave along the way.
